Summer is definitely the time to focus on getting some ‘me’ time, but you can help both yourself and others by offering your services as a volunteer. Whatever your cause, doing a bit of good will not only enhance the lives of others but could also help your CV. Get work experience. As mentioned above, buffing up your CV is definitely worthwhile and nothing does it better than internships. The infamous ‘can’t get work experience because I don’t have work experience’ conundrum can leave students feeling as though securing a placement is nigh on impossible, but most companies take on their interns during the summer so it’s the best time to apply.
