Check out what Calgary’s emerging artists have created during the school year at the bi-annual Show + Sale presented by the Alberta University of the Arts Students’ Association – AUArts SA (formerly Alberta College of Art + Design Students’ Association – ACADSA). The event usually takes place in November and March of each year. This unique public art market invites you to view and purchase over 3000 pieces of handmade works. Whatever your preferred form, you’ll find it here: paintings, photographs, drawings, prints, ceramics, glass, fibre, jewellery, sculpture and more!

Proceeds from ticket purchases directly support AUArts students with programming that includes entrepreneurial training through seminars and workshops and funds student scholarships. Students receive the proceeds from the sale of their work during the event, with a portion supporting AUArts SA’s student programming.

Fall 2018

FIRST NIGHT FUNDRAISER

WHEN: Thursday, November 22 | 5-8pm

WHERE: ACAD Main Mall (1407, 14th Avenue NW)

The First Night Fundraiser offers you an exclusive, private viewing and sale of over 3,000 original pieces, showcasing work from each of ACAD’s disciplines of study.

Along with local creatives, arts supporters and light refreshments from our sponsors at National Beer Hall and Bridgette Bar, you can expect advanced access to over 3,000 original artworks and conversation with the artists in attendance. A cash bar will be available for your enjoyment.
